I went out to Joshua Tree National Park in an area that is Bortle 3 to capture this. The Rosette is one I have captured before, but it never gets old. It's easy for me to get too picky when processing this when comparing this to all of the great Astro we have posted here. But for an unmodified...
The travels are blurring together a bit this summer now, but this was taken from the Dallas Divide outside of Ridgway Colorado. It's most famous for all of the fall colors taken there in the fall, but now that I have gotten into Deep Space Astro I have found it has remarkedly clear skies there...
This was from a month ago out in Joshua Tree National Park. I have a favorite little spot to set up there that has almost the whole sky open to shoot.
I gave up on processing this one at least twice over the last month. It's a super faint Nebula, it's one you can't see by eye or see in the...

Manley Beacon is that iconic peak that is most often seen from Zabriskie Point. When thinking about shooting the Milky Way in Death Valley a week or so ago I was looking for something different as I have shot the Milky Way from Badwater and the Race Track a bunch of times, so as I was thinking...
It's finally here! The camera many of us have been hearing about and waiting for.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
