We recently had a life giving rain. It was extremely dry and over two days we had over 2 inches of rain that came down in a drizzle. Perfect for the gardeners and farming community. I took my Olympus Omd EM1X and the 300mm lens out for over two hours, believing the extreme water resistant...
They seem to be esp. vibrant this year, but not sure if that's just because we are at home and seeing them every day right outside our dinning room window. It will be interesting to see how long the color show lasts.
It was a wet night at Bambino's in Anaheim, California! Another glorious rain filled day and the rain continued on into the night. So I went out camera in hand to capture some local city scenes that had gotten wet. I had a blast! :)

I captured these this morning after more rain!!!! It's been so awesome here, I spotted these raindrops on some rose leaves as I was going out to my Jeep, so I grabbed my Sony A6400 and shot a few of these. I thought they looked pretty cool.

It’s raining today!!! And it’s so awesome! I was able to run out with my camera for a few minutes and shoot some rain!!! This is from the parking lot of a local park.

I need to be a bit more creative with my titles here I think.
It rained yesterday so I went out briefly with the camera to capture some raindrops on the plants and flowers in the yard. This is one I liked. It's supposed to rain more in the next week so hopefully I can get out and...
After a mellow New Years eve old folks party at our house, Debbie and I got an after lunch start on our drive up The Mountain Loop Hwy. on the 1st. We dressed warm and brought our umbrellas for a casual walk up the gated Monte Cristo rd., which we had to ourselves. Wish it would have been...
This is a little known waterfall over in SW Colorado. I went there a month ago with Alisa, and it was quite the adventure to get down to the river level. It had been monsoon raining, we had been getting thunderstorms, and so we waited that out a bit. Eventually hiking out in wet weather gear...
I was up in Yankee Boy Basin in Colorado the other day and on schedule in the afternoon the thunderstorm rolled in and the rain started. While sitting in my Jeep I saw this and shot it.
It’s a bit of an abstract but I liked it.

The Focus this Friday will be on Rain. On my recent trip through New Mexico, Colorado and Utah I saw lot's and lot's of Rain pouring down, I saw Rain clouds that were raining in the distance also. I stopped and shot a few of them as I thought those distant rain clouds looked interesting.
So...
When I was in Arches I spotted this red waterfall flowing. I passed it by, but it only took a few seconds to realize that I needed to make a U-turn. Which I did and I went back to shoot it. Later that evening I decided to go back again as I wanted to be able to get in closer to it to shoot...
Hey guys!
Got too busy, and then came the weather.
We got our last storm for this season (at least thats my assumption) i hope i am wrong on this.
So i jumped out the office, its a 10 min drive. The strong wind and rain cut my session short, but i was lucky to get away with some documentation...
Sunny clued me in on this spot, it's up in the San Gabriel Mountains here in Southern California. I was shocked to hear we had wild Bald Eagles in SoCal. I am surrounded basically by hundreds of miles of houses and buildings here, so I would never have guessed we had a pair of Bald Eagles so...
Even though I had just gotten back from 3 weeks on the road in Colorado and New Mexico when I saw that the rain could stop just before sunset, I took the chance and ran down to Little Corona Beach here in SoCal. I got there 30 minutes before sunset and I was still using the windshield wipers on...
Before the clouds closed down in my previous Bryce Canyon post, there was a storm happening at sunrise which made for an interesting look. I shot this one tighter to get in closer to the action in the background. It does feel a bit off balance to me, but this is an older archived shot so I don't...
