I don't get on here that much as, life just gets busy... Thought I would post my best of 2024. It has its ups and downs this year, July 4th I totaled my red 4runner 10mi outside of Cody WY hitting a deer going about 70mph which is the posted speed limit. But 2024 had some great moments too. Like...
We had driven through this area several times and eventually decided to stop when the sun was low in the sky. What drew me to the scene was the water wandering through the foreground, leading to the mountains and sunset in the background. The reflected color in the middle finished things off...

Still going through photos from my trio to SW CO. This was on the way back home on Monarch Pass. Messing with some B&W options on some of the Snowy trees!
CC Welcome!
Every year I like to go somewhere for New Years Weekend. I also like to catch the first sunrise of the year as well but unfortunately there was no chance of that with the snowy conditions in SW CO.

2022 Started out in Sedona, AZ. I like to be in a different place bringing in the new year... I also would rather get up early to catch the first sunrise of the year rather...
We have had a lot of snowy and grey sky days in Kalispell for the last several weeks, but forecasts showed a potential for some color over Flathead Lake last night so I drove out to take a look. I picked this spot in the town of Somers as it looked in the right direction and I have always liked...
I drove out to Lake McDonald last night for sunset. The snow is pretty much gone in the Flathead Valley, but as you head toward Glacier there is still quite a bit. Parts of Lake McDonald are still frozen and there is snow all around the shoreline. I tried a couple of my favorite spots and had...
We had a clear night around Kalispell last night, so I made my way to a spot I'd figured could be a nice place to capture an early season Milky Way. This was also my first attempt using the fancy Benro automated head for tracking a nightscape. Setup was easy and the skies cooperated even at 3°F...
Last night I decided that with the temps being so in the negative in the morning that I should go out to see if I can see anything truly cool to Photograph. I was almost coming into town when I saw this tree with some fog so I was able to turn around to go back but I didn't see anywhere to pull...
Winter is not my favorite time of year to shoot landscapes in my area, but I was out touring the country side when the late afternoon light caught my eye as it illuminated the side of this corn silo.
Here is another shot of my way back from Sedona. A stop at Crested Butte to see all the snow they got in a weeks time! There wasn't much thought into this shot I just had to pull over to catch the light before it was gone.
CC Welcome!
I just posted some color images over in Landscape, but as usual converted many to B&W.

Drone View of snow
The drone makes it easy to get nice snow pictures without footprints!
I posted a photo last week of the sunrise in Sedona and said to the right was moody and cloudy. This was the view when the clouds broke a bit.
CC Welcome.
I went X-skiing up The Mountain Loop Hwy with my wife last week and had a great time. Fresh deep snow was heavy in the trees so it was a winter wonderland. I only had my iPhone 13 Pro, which did a great job as usual, but I really wished I'd brought a real camera.
After a few days of rain in the...
This might be my best from a recent hike up to Lake Serene below Mt. Index. This is a drone pano made from a total of 65 shots - 5 rows x 3 columns x bursts of 5 stacked and median blended then stitched in ACR.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
