A very brief visit to North Yorkshire on Saturday. The forecast was for heavy rain and thunderstorms later in the day but I hoped to get some time in before it hit. I know this area well but usually visit in the winter. This is an area of limestone pavements and trees growing under the influence of strong prevailing winds. Ken

Those must be some fast moving clouds for how much different the skies look in each of these images. I like the B&W treatment you gave these captures as it seems to fit well here. Nice work with the conversions.

Interesting how bent those trees are. That's a lot of cool images in just 15 minutes Ken.

My favorites are #1 and 4. I think I like those both best because you composed those to have a tree as a strong, tall subject in the scene.

Sorry for the late reply Alan, I have been busy and managed another photography trip. Yes strong winds and a rapidly changing sky. Ken

Thanks Jim, I don't usually work this fast and am experimenting with a new, for me, processing technique with a deliberately bright patch close to the horizon. Ken

That sounds like fun! It will be interesting to see the results as you experiment.
