Another 5 Sri Lankan birds. Not as colourful as some but still interesting and some new "lifers" for me.

Jerdon's Bushlark, Mirafra affinis

Paddyfield Pipit, Anthus rufulus

Black-winged Stilt, Himantopus himantopus

Indian Robin, Copsychus fulicatus

Redshank, Tringa totanus

That's a different looking Robin then we are used to here.

Yet another wonderful set of bird portraits. The Indian Robin has some really different markings compared to what I am used to seeing. Very nice shots all around.

Thanks Jim, there are a lot of different Robins around the world. The American Robin, which is actually a large thrush, is just one of them.

Thanks Alan. A good reason to try and remember the Latin names, as the common names are often very confusing
