A Bit of a Splash

On Monday I ran down to the beach here in SoCal. We have so many to choose from, but I choose Little Corona, as it's my favorite little beach. I got down there now too much before sunset. The sun was pretty low already and giving a golden glow to everything it touched.

All comments are welcome,

The colour is lovely Jim. The sea behind looks surprisingly quiet for the lovely splash over the rocks that you captured.

Thanks Trent! Yeah, the waves weee coming in more to my right. I didn't even see a single wave by Arch Rock, and there often can be.

Nice angle for this scene to catch the sidelighting on the spray.
Thanks Alan. The tide was receding and I didn't get too many splashes after this one. When the clouds went pink, the waves seemed to have said it was time to go to bed. I got some more waves, but not as impactful as these pre sunset ones.

Nice, Jim. I remember when you used to do this all the time. Welcome back to California.

Yeah, I remember those times too and miss them. I am trying to make sure when I am back in California to get down to the beach. Because as much as I enjoy the mountains, etc, I definitely miss the beach when I am gone on the road.

Another beauty. The slow shutter speed capturing the motion of the water and the light entering from the side really make this image work Jim. Lovely.

Thanks Alan! I don't get to the beach as often as I used to. One bad thing about being retired is all of my local places I used to go, I don't get to as much since I am not at home as much.
