I don't know why I didn't post these at the time. This Trebarwith Strand, at low tide it is just a beautiful sandy beach 300yds deep and half a mile wide but as the tide rises the slate formations produce pleasant foregrounds. This is the North Atlantic in very calm mood with almost no swell, this plagued me my entire trip but did make getting very close to the edge relatively safe, people have been swept off these rocks to their death in recent years.
In 10 minutes the rising tide made my previous viewpoint too risky
My escape route was across this little stream but the rising tide was getting closer so I wasn't going to wait much longer. I have processed this as a blue hour type image with another photographer much closer to the sea than I thought wise
He did get a little too close and had to scamper as a slightly larger wave arrived. This was my last image from here, as I get older I get more risk averse.
