The Aqua building is a 82 story mixed use residential skyscraper in downtown Chicago. The design team was led by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects. I am thinking the Surfs Up, dude!

I didn't realize the scale of the subject building at first glance and then read the description. I like how you have captured it here - the long cloud streaks behind add contrast to the quirky shape of the building. Kind of a trippy design.....

Jim: The Aqua building is designed that way. You can see images under google images if you type in Aqua. It is a very unique design for the patios. It does lend itself to being a favorite subject for photographers!
