Arizona in April?

I'll be coming off a river trip through the Grand on April 24. Does anybody have suggestions for a few days of shooting within 1/2 day drive from Marble Canyon? I'll have been sitting on my butt for over a week & ready to get some exercise hiking. For once, I won't have my dog with me, so instead of "just" going to Coyote Buttes, I'd like to check out other areas. Wildflowers then? Chollas?

Hi Monika,

If you have never been to Sedona that would be a great place to spend some time. It is about 3 1/2 hours from Marble Canyon. I am not sure what the wildflower situation will be this year because we have had so little rain. But the landscapes are spectacular and there will be wildflowers along the creek in West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon. There are quite a few of us from Focal World living in this area and I am sure any of us would be glad to help out with locations. Below are a few wildflower images from about that time of year. What specifically is blooming will be dependent on the weather. Let me know what I can do to help you out are answer any questions.

Thanks, Douglas! Those wildflowers look great. I had heard it's been dry (like in CO), so don't have high hopes for a plethora of flowers. But the canyons are beautiful & would be a great place to go. I've been to Sedona 1x (I think in winter or shoulder season). It would be great to meet some of you.

Great, Monika. Keep in touch and we will be happy to meet you and show you around.
