Bald Eagle

You don't often to get this close to a bald eagle in the wild, however I got this close visit at a wild bird show at a local exhibit.

Thanks for the comments Alan. I agree that his beak is fearsome and, although they don't show in this image, his talons are nothing you would not want to fool around with!

The trainer handles taking off and putting the mask on the eagle, I don't think I would have enough nerve to try putting the mask on the eagle!!!

Hawkquest is an organation that rescues birds that are injured or imprinted to humans and can no longer survive in the wild.
They use these birds as part of an educational program to inform the public about the life of predatory birds.
