Black Bear Pass Milky Way

I was down in SW Colorado with Alisa last week and we went up to Black Bear Pass to explore for wildflowers, and along the way we found a good spot for the Milky Way too. This is probably about 12,000 at this point, the sky was dark, though some occasional clouds floated through. Which will add some drama to the Timelapse I did. This is one of the single frames I took. I did blend in a twilight shot of the ground layer to get more detail on the flowers.

Beautiful MW scene with the distant mountains although the foreground wildflowers feel just a bit too bright for the rest of the scene. Amazing level of darkness up at that elevation that really brings the stars out.

Thanks so much Alan. You bring up a good point about the flowers, though I rarely get flowers in the foreground so I didn't want them to get lost in darkness. I will have to try it with a darker foreground and see how it looks.
