Black Crowned Night Heron

I was taking photos on the pier at Malibu Beach and this curious Night Heron hopped on the railing and walked toward me. I grabbed several shots as he walked along that wooden rail, this was the best of the bunch.

Love the pose Larry! I don't think I have seen too many of those here in SoCal. In Huntington Beach were I frequent most often, it's seagulls, and more seagulls.... once in a while a few pelicans might fly by. So that's great you captured that up in Malibu.
