Bruges reprocessed

Bruges is a stunning city, much of the medieval centre remains much as it was 900 yrs ago when it was a major trading centre. Bruges used to be on the coast but is now 10 miles inland but major canals allowed the trading to continue. Later this week we are off to the opera in Verona 2 nights Carmen and La Boheme. We have been gifted the tickets and flights as friends are unable to travel. The operas are held in a Roman Amphitheatre that seats 22,000. Unfortunately I am not allowed a real camera on the nights of the performances so it will have to be phone shots. Verona is another medieval city so I should get lots of opportunities to photograph stunning buildings, inside and out. Verona is also close to the Alps but the weather doesn't look promising after weeks of high pressure producing lots of haze and temperatures in the high 90's with no clouds. Ken

I love how you captured this scene - the reflections with the smoothed water surface from the long exposure are delightful.

Wow, this is stunning Ken! A really awesome image. Is it similar to Venice with water canals going all over? It almost looks like a moat around this building.

Why did they move the town 10 miles inland? That's quite the move.
