A few years ago I was shooting landscape shots at the outlet of Long Lake when I saw this moose eatung moss in hte shallow water. I ran back (about a quater of a mile and grabbed my zoom telephoto lens and sprinted back to where I asw the moose. He actually had not moved too far and kept eating in the shallow water for about 10 minutes and then wandered off in the the timber. ;)

Looks young judging by the size of his antlers. Nice he was hungry enough to stick around for the lens swap.

That's really cool Larry! Great job on getting such a nice image of a moose, that's not an easy or normal task for sure. They can be very elusive.

Which Blue Lake is this? Where is it near?

My bad that is Long Lake just west of Brainard Lake. 🥺
