The Ward Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park is just outside Ely, Nevada. The ovens were used from 1876-1879 to help process silver ore mined locally. 665nm converted Nikon DSLR.
Super cool Michael! I like the look of the IR as well.
I have wanted to photograph the Wildrose Charcoal Kilns in Death Valley with the Milky Way for a few years now, but haven't made it out there besides a couple of scouting trips. These near Ely might be more accessible for that Milky Way combo.

Definitely more accessible. But still 10 miles down a dirt road with plenty of washboard. The road to the DV kilns is often closed due to Mother Nature! I had the Ward Ovens all to myself when I went, that's always a treat!

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
