Typical Bavarian town. Even though they were magical, they all started to look alike after a while.

shops and street vendors in Heidelberg. I never got tired of the narrow streets here (unless we were competing with bicycles) lol

the wood framing shown in most of these images were near 250 years old or older as many were not damaged by WW2

Started up this staircase that was constructed in the 12th century to visit the Castel Wertheim, all uphill

I chose to leave the jet trail to show the contrast of 250 years in time

Castel Wertheim, or Wertheim Castle, was built during the 12th century and served as the seat of the Counts of Wertheim.
Today, it's a popular tourist attraction (to us anyway) and a cultural landmark, offering stunning views of the Main and Tauber rivers

No a very good picture on the right, this this little restaurant tucked away down this hall had the best lunch I think I had on my whole vacation. Genuine German Brats with local wine, looking at this picture I can still taste it now.

So I included this image as I learned here as in most of the EU the property taxes were based on the ground floor sq/ft, so as they build up, the expanded the sq/ft to save on taxes, clever considering this was 250 year ago, plus the ground floor was always stone as being close to the river, these towns often flooded. Can you pronounce the blew street name?

This image got out of place. its another tower of the Wertheim Castle

Beautiful architecture - I love this stuff. Especially when you start getting back to the 12th century roots of the communities. Keep them coming - I am enjoying a view of your trip :)

I can imagine that the towns can all sort of run together since they have do have a very distinct look. I like that Bavarian look, but they might all run together.

Thanks for including the food. I enjoyed following you along here.

As to the photo with your wife being in shadow. You would need to use Photoshop, use a layer mask on her face, and then apply brightness and shadow recovery to it.

Even when the towns start to look alike, something unique shows up. Your photos show that very well! Keep posting.
