Cottonwood Pass Sign

This sign in western Colorado shows the Cottonwood Pass is on the continental divide, where water on the eastern side winds up in the Atlantic Ocean and water of the western side goes the Pacific Ocean. Amazing facts to realize at 12,126 ft in oxygen starved brains! ;)

Yep, it's amazing just how high it is up there! I use Cottonwood or similar places to help acclimate before heading out backpacking.
