Cow Elk in Winter Coat

I was in RMNP in early May a couple of years ago and saw this cow elk still in most of her winter coat. There were more than 50 in this meadow west of the road to Bear Lake. The cow did not seem to mind my presence and continue to brows and eat the tall grasses in the meadow. I got several photos of her and a few other that just walked across the road behind my car and started feeding in the meadow. Lucky Larry sticks again!

Looks like she had plenty to munch on. Judging by her size she has been doing plenty of munching Nice capture.
