December at Sheep Lake

After suffering for the past few days in high 90 degree temps, I decided to process a winter scene from the Sheep Lake turnoff at Rocky Mountain National Park to remind me that this heat will not last forever (I hope)!

Looks rather refreshing compared to the excessive warmth of mid summer. Every time I feel sorry for myself suffering with our summer temps I look up a weather station near my sister's house in Tempe, AZ. At 8:40PM (right now) it's 90ºF down there. They pretty much hit 110ºF every day for the last week+.

Oh man, it's been over 100 at my daughters house in Greeley! My 4Runner is not happy with that and starts to run hot if I let it idle too long.

And I am liking your photo? I am actually up at the Alpine Visitor Center in RMNP at this moment hanging out with the Milky Way.
