Egg Rock... (Arcadia NP)

Here is my 2nd post from the recent run through Acadia NP and I think my favorite. This is the Egg Rock Light house and it was the first picture I made during the trip . I was heading out to scout a location for my sunrise shot and saw this out of the corner of my eye. The fog was really intense however the sun was in the perfect position in the western sky to light the island and lighthouse this way.
I think I got really lucky, I passed this location a dozen times thought out the trip and the conditions were not even remotely close to this.
All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards, Dean

sublimely subtle these monochrome shots always make me feel they'd be great for large family rooms because of the simple colors. Nice.

Hey Dean,

I am sure liking this almost high key image because of the fog/mist. It really sets this apart, nice work, and good job stopping to shoot too. We too easily can talk ourselves out of shots by saying we will get back to it later. The problem is later is always different.

I, too, like the seldom seen high key approach seen here. And the minimalism is a draw. Nice imaging!
