Fall Colors in Paradise Meadows

A shot from yesterday morning with backlighting on the fall colors of the ground cover. Just below Edith Creek on the path from Paradise Inn. This is a first road edit on a new laptop so there were some teething issues in processing this.

C&C always welcome.

Too bad you have bald skies, Alan. This is still nice, and you have a nice composition. I am looking forward to your images of Mt. Rainier.

I like that tundra look of fall colors Alan. It looks like you did good with your processing on the laptop.

Thanks Doug - I was in love with blue skies after what I saw on Wednesday. The skies were pretty much brown when I got up there so I wandered off to shoot waterfalls instead. Clouds moved in yesterday afternoon by the time Jameel made it up there and we almost didn't get to see the mountain for the sunset. They cleared out at the last minute so we didn't get skunked.

Thanks Jim - there are definitely some tweaks I need to make before I take it out again. My wife's computer died last week and she was using my laptop up until Tuesday so I didn't have much time to prep and try image processing before leaving.

The light here is so different than the one we witnessed yesterday. The bald skies don't get in the way of this image. I will get to processing my images later today.

Thanks Jameel - this was in the morning before you came up. The clear skies gave me some nice backlighting on the ground cover colors. I think you took a very similar shot in this same place but without the direct light in the afternoon.
