From left to right:
  • UV (310-400nm): 6s @ ISO 3,200
  • VIS: 1/60s @ ISO 1,250
  • UV+VIS+IR: 1/60s @ ISO 640
  • UV+IR: 1/15s @ ISO 3,200
No idea how much this lens absorbs in the UV range, have not measure that yet. Each of the four was a stack of 7-10 images to reduce the noise.

The last 3 images were white balanced to have the edges of each petal white, I left the UV image with the strong purple tint since it was much more pleasing.

Interesting comparison. #3 is my favorite of the bunch.

Are these screw in filters? When you say UV+VIS+IR for example, is it just one filter or a combo?

I also really like #3, I find the peach tones really pleasing.

The camera is converted to full spectrum, I took the hot mirror out and didn't replace it with anything.

The full spectrum shots (UV+VIS+IR) are shots without any screw on filter. The VIS shot has a bad external hotmirror (bad in that it allows all the way down to ~310nm) screwed to the from of the lens. I have a "UV" bandpass filter that also allows a sizeable amount of IR through, so the UV+IR shot is with that filter. Then the UV filter shot is the UV bandpass and the hotmirror.

It is really interesting to see each of these. I am contemplating getting a camera converted to Full Spectrum.

I got lucky with my Nex. The filter was thin enough that taking the spacing shims out was enough to compensate for the change in optical distance so I didn’t need a replacement glass. Sensor dust is definitely much more noticeable.

Sensor dust is an inevitable evil! Ugh... I hate it.

That's great the spacing turned out good for you.
