Thanks Trent - this is out in front of our house and its part of a whole street full of neat gardens so its just as nice to get out and walk to enjoy them all.

Thanks Kevin - good catch on the ID of the white blooms - we have astilbe in our back yard but this is actually candytuft (Iberia sempervirens) instead.

Thanks Eric - it is a very different environment for gardening up here compared to your area. You have to work to make things grow. We have to work to beat back whatever we don't want 'cuz there's too much trying to grow everywhere.
