Good evening everyone

I am now in Glencoe having driven from Skye after a night of heavy rain and 50mph winds. I have attached a phone shot of a wedding taking place in Skye. Scotland used to be very straight laced about weddings but now anywhere goes. My wife has been working in Mull and has informed me that every morning she has been having a swim............in the North Atlantic. Tomorrow's forecast is for up to 6" of rain and snow on the mountain tops, so time to pack the tent and collect my wife from the ferry and drive home to hot water and walls that don't move. I have over 256Gb of files taken in 4 days hopefully some of them should be ok. Ken

"Hot water and walls that don't move" - nice description of your journey :) Sounds like you were more than slightly busy with your photography to end up with 256GB of captures. I look forward to seeing what all you scored.

Sound like a Good Thing(TM) that the couple in this wedding scene didn't wait much longer given the weather conditions. Hanging around in that dress in high winds might not be the best master plan.

To Alan's point, that bride needs to be careful a gust of wind doesn't turn her dress into a parachute and she goes flying away.

What a fun trip Ken. Your wife is braver then me to go swimming in the North Atlantic! Do you spread bear grease all over her body to keep her warm? ;)

I look forward to when you can thaw out your fingers and start Processing photos.

I'll be away another day. I managed to pick my wife up from the ferry but all roads South are blocked, either by flooding or landslides. Just to get to the ferry terminal I had to drive through 2 serious floods with water half way up the doors of my car. I made it but lots of cars sitting in deep flood water with hazard lights on going nowhere. Forecast was for 7" of rain, my campsite was just about to evacuate people to higher ground as I left. I managed a couple of shots of waterfalls plunging down hillsides, should be good if they are not ruined by raindrops but they could be just a 1,000ft line of white. We have a bed for the night in Oban as there is no way of knowing how long it will take to clear the landslides/ floods. Grin and bear it. Ken
