High Surf, Santa Cruz - Monterrey Bay area

Heard the surf was monstrous in Santa Cruz area & south.
That means probably as far north as Davenport (Panther Beach)
Maybe down to Big Sur.
I am thinking the sea stacks at Garrapata might be a good venue.
Need to see if I can get away
