2 for one. Taken last night, captured 9 1/4 hours. WOGT 71, Asi2600MC, Antila ALP-T nm filter. 1st one I used my normal process. 2nd one I used the new Veralux process. I think in the future I will experiment with the adding channels from both versions to make a hybrid.

Of these 2, which do you prefer?

Final, a hybrid composition of both processes also removed 50% of the stars to see more of the Nebula

Hey Ed, these all turned out really well, and are all valid views I think.

I like #1 the best for the Mono processing look, but the Veralux does a good job with the standard OSC straight Ha look. I think you could take it into Photoshop and use maybe 10% Clarity to help the level of detail match #1.

What is your normal processing for #1? Because the Ha data from an OSC camera won't normally look like that. Did you use Narrowband Normalization process from Pixinsight?

For me, I have found NarrowbandNormalization script not always giving me the look that I think it should to mimic Mono cameras. But it did a really great job for you on this one. I think your #1 is just perfect and totally looks like it came off of a mono camera instead of an OSC.

Lots to choose from here Ed. I think I like the 1st one best as It just seems to allow for the best definition of all the intricate details. The colors in the 2nd one are very nice though., The 3rd one is an interesting hybrid. It ends up looking like one of the non-traditional palette mixes (forget exactly which one, like maybe an HSO or HOS or something like that...) Lots of stuff to experiment with for sure going forward. Thanks for sharing these different versions.
