Images from yesterday evening at Laguna with Jim Fox

I didn't get the shot I wanted, and I may go back today or tomorrow. There is a man made pool built into the rocks from the 1920s that I wanted to capture during dusk/twilight, but not knowing how the tides affect the cove exits, I decided to not do it. Now I know, and I feel comfortable staying just after sunset over the next couple of days trying to get the shot I wanted.

Also, I just sold my 16-35 and also picked up a 24-70 F/2.8 II, (both transactions on Saturday). There were a few times I missed that 16mm, but overall, I'm very happy with the 24-70. I will be picking up an Irix 15mm very soon, to get that UWA coverage when I need it.

So...Here are my finished images from yesterday evening.

I may as well post the "Lonesome Fox" in this thread too.

This is a composite shot. The moon is at 70mm, everything else is 24mm.

Hey Ryan,

You got a nice assortment of shots here. I almost forgot how we got that thumbnail moon at the very end. I am going to have to go look now at mine with that moon.

Nice set and nice sunset Ryan. I am particularly drawn to the third and fourth images with the nice tide pools in front.

Nice! I like #1 and #2 the most, #1 has some nice motion in the water and the varied pools in #2 really works well. We saw that same sliver of a moon from JTNP Sunday night...
