Jupiter with Io animation

This was taken over a 90 minute period, about 10 minute intervals. I used a ASI 224mc camera and a Celestron 9.25 edge with 0.7 reducer and 2.5 powermate. Took the best 40% of 2500 frames for each sequence.

Thanks Jim, I've been wanting to do this for a long time and finally decided to take it on. When it gets cooler I will do the sun. Still in the 90's here.

I really look forward to all your planetary stuff - these animations are amazing. Seeing the planet and the shadow transiting across really makes for a special result. If I ever get set back up with my bigger scope I will be going after some stuff along these lines. Will have to pick your brain on techniques a little bit more then

Thanks Mike, You can pick my brain any time, I'm happy to share how I do my processing. I think I'm done for the year on the planets. I took off the powermate and since it is getting clearer at night I will do some deep sky. I just finished the Elephant Trunk and will post it here. I did post it on AB as a final to the one I did 2 years ago.
