Lee Vining Creek

Yosemite Valley has not yet reached peak color - it is a week or two away at this point. Lee Vining Creek and Lundy Canyon plenty had plenty of good color to explore though. I really liked this curve in Lee Vining Creek and had to fight for a composition. The slope is too steep to move closer and there are a lot of trees and debris that can complicate the shot. The vertical composition helped clean a lot of that up. At least I thought so...

Any thoughts are welcome.

You definitely caught some nice fall color in this scene. I love the aspen trunk contrasting with the reds at the bend in the creek and the splashes of gold above.

Nice image, Kyle. Making compelling photographs in forests is difficult (with many exceptions). There is so much crap every where as you try to make order out of chaos. You did well here.
