A pair of Tundra Swans departing the pond on a lazy afternoon in the Salmon Creek wetlands.
C&C always welcome.

Thanks Jim - I missed them actually launching because they were trying to join two other swans that were flying over my head and I was shooting them. Those were the shots I posted for Winged Wednesday this last week. I noticed this pair just after the first two went overhead. The disturbed water directly behind them was where they launched from.Good timing! It's cool to see them take off or land.
Thanks Trent - there always seems to be a couple of birds that are coming and going from the pond at any given point in time. Maybe the water is wetter on the other side the wetlandsI like how you have the sitting birds as well as the flying pair. Makes for a nice composition.
Thanks - I have lived in this area for 26 years now and have never had the telephoto reach to shoot the birds that hang out here. Manual focus at 800mm with my DSLRs was simply not a useful exercise for shots like this. I am making up for lost timeNice. You are putting your long lens setup to good use.
