In the original Nikki was sitting on the edge of a bed. AI did a pretty good job with a beach at night.
yea, wasn't sure about how she was sitting. knowing how the original was makes it stand out to me but it kind of works. Could be a hilly beach? Wonder if I hadn't said anything if it would still be spotted out.AI did a pretty good job of replacing the background but with a caveat. The position Nikki is sitting in suggests the edge of the bed with her right leg dangling over the edge where the AI blending has her on a relatively flat beach which doesn't quite look normal.
AI did get the lighting correct with the shadows in the scene all being consistent. Most early replacement software doing sky replacements were notorious for have horridly inconsistent lighting since the applications made no effort to match the lighting at all.
Fun concept for the portrait.
Depends on how picky your viewers are.........Wonder if I hadn't said anything if it would still be spotted out.
True, audience matters. But I appreciate you pointing that out. That's what will really help me learn. All criticism is definitely welcomed.Depends on how picky your viewers areI tend to spot things like this more often than most but freely admit to being picky.
I figured it would always be a good idea to mention any use of AI. My time is limited and the nearest beach is about 4 hours away lol but one day I would like to actually do some thing like this. Wouldn't seem right to pretend like I put in all that effort knowing it was just AI.Hey Ben,
Always be sure to mention that you used AI, or if an image is a composite, there is a code of ethics, that we always disclose if an image isn't always 100% real.
So thank you for doing it, and don't let Alan cause you to have doubts on how well the AI did here. I didn't spot anything, and I looked at the photo before I read what you wrote and nothing said composite or AI to me. It's just Alan has an eagle eye, he is able to notice the smallest most minute details. He is a great asset in that way.
Anyway, I like this a lot. Very cool, and very creative. The red tone is very different, but very effective.
