Porth Nanven near Lands End sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean and is a beautiful soft sandy beach with nice rocks at either end of the cove. On this visit I had only about a 2ft swell but no wind so no wind driven waves. Luckily this does produce some backwash.
No backwash as the waves aren't able to run up the beach, blocked by the rocks.
After this I journey to the South, actually to the furthest South point of Mainland England to Kynance Cove. By the time that I made my way down the rising tide had cut access to the main beach off, so a return journey was planned, hopefully with better weather and some waves. I should have remembered " be careful what you wish for". Ken
