This is Bedruthen Steps in North Cornwall with the Atlantic Ocean on the left.
Unfortunately 3 years ago a series of rockfalls swept the only easy path away. It is possible to get down but only at low tide with the distinct possiblity of getting cut off. The couple on the beach are a good 20 minute walk from the only way back off the beach and it is very steep with the bottom 30ft a 60 degree rock face that could be very difficult if it is wet. Too much for me.
This pair have about 30 minutes before they have to run
I returned a couple of days later with a stiff wind from the North. These are just wind driven waves with no real Atlantic swell. This is about 2 hrs from high tide. If you get caught by the rising tide it is possible to clamber up the rocks on the right foreground and wait until the tide recedes but it could be a miserable way to spend a few hours. Ken
