I got an interesting sunrise yesterday morning ending a very long draught of morning colors. It didn't last long at all and the really interesting effects only lasted a couple of minutes but I managed to get my drone up in the air just in time to catch what looked like the peak colors. The colors died back to just the patch at the horizon and Mt. Hood's shadow disappeared in less than two minutes after I started the drone's motors. I was in such a hurry to start shooting I didn't wait for a GPS lock on the drone so the drone's software wouldn't let my drone ascend to more than 100' while it was gathering info from the GPS satellites. I just turned it around and started shooting anyway and this was the first shot. Single panel at 28mm.
Interesting to note that the cameras on the Mavic 4 Pro seem to collect a lot more light than my old Mavic 3 Pro. It was still fairly dark when I shot this but the drone pulled up so much light and detail on the foreground houses I decided to add a graduated filter on the ground layer to darken it so they wouldn't be distracting.
C&C always welcome.
