Mt. St. Helens in Alpenglow

Last light of the day over Mt. St. Helens. Some clouds might have been nice but in this case the air pollution added a nice hue to the snow cover earlier this month. There is less snow on the mountain after an unusually dry January. Single frame at 168mm.

Thanks Jim - pretty much sums up my take on the shot as well. I am ready for a change in this weather. We finally got some clouds yesterday but they buried any chance of a nice sunset and were long gone by sunrise this morning.

Thanks Jameel - I am still surprised at how much better the 168mm lens is compared to the 166mm on the Mavic 3 Pro. This was using it with the 12MP setting.

Thanks John - St. Helens doesn't often light up with quite this level of color and intensity. Glad I had my drone up in the air to spot it since I only see the very top of the mountain from my second story deck.
