Hi y'all
This year I’ve been spending more time in and around the Bay Area, focusing on what’s close to home, things I have missed such as backyard scenes, local birds, and the small critters I usually walk past without noticing.
Shooting nearby has slowed me down and helped me see familiar neighborhoods, North bay , east bay & south bay parks, and San Jose city corners in a more intimate way. I ended up with quite a few images I’m happy with and wanted to share them here.
Thanks for looking, comments, critiques, and discussion are always welcome.

02 Looking at me
Columbia Black Tailed Deer
04 Alert
These deers are very fascinating
06 Rubbing
Deers showing off their antlers, I wonder what throse growth on the antlers are, antler warts?
08 Sitting Red Fox
This family of foxes has lived on the golf course for a few years
10 Food delivery
Foster's Terns delivering food to each other
12 Door Dash Mid Air
White tail kit deliver food to the young chicks
14 Black Skimmers Dinner Time
These birds are master gliders.
16 Young swallows
First day out of the nest
18 Sushi Dinner
The foster's tern only caught some sea weed
20 Sandhill Cranes
If anything, I have learned not to take anything for granted. Back in November & December, we had a long stretch of 300 miles long radation fog over central Califronia, blanketing the region, the sandhill migraiton pictures were very difficult to photography.
