Looking to travel to the New Hampshire/Vermont area for the first time this coming fall 2019. From what I can see, it looks like the White Mountain area of NH is the first area to get color (early October) and then within a week other areas color up, with the northern areas first followed by the southern areas.
1. Are there any areas which get color even earlier, like late September (nearby Canada or Maine?)
2. Is the color in Vermont gone by the 3rd week in October? Are there other areas nearby that show great color after that ?(NY finger lakes, Letchworth, Mass...)
Coming from North Carolina, and will be trying out a new "small" 21' class B RV , which should allow us to park and sleep just about anywhere. We can get up to the NE area in the fall as early as needed and stay until the action is over.
