NGC 104 Tuc

Since I have run out of Astro images again, I went back to the free Astro data that Goldfield has offered up. This one is the NGC 104 Tuc which is a globular cluster. It's located in constellation Tucana.

PS. Here is hoping for Clearer and Calmer skies in 2 weeks so I can get some more of my own data to process.

Really nice result - super detail and a very nice touch handling the dynamic range to not blow out the core and allow those star colors to shine through!

Thanks Mike! I had to use a very delicate hand, and after the initial stretch I basically was using a layer mask after each Curves Stretch to pull back in the center core so it wouldn't blow out. A little time consuming, but not too bad.

This has given me a new appreciation for Globular Clusters. Early on I thought they were boring, but I am coming to really appreciate them now.

Telescope Live is a remote observatory I am thinking on using, to fill in with some data when I can't get out to do Astro. They have several pretty inexpensive plans.
