NGC3324 with Seestar

My new Seestar finally had a nighttime outing last night after several days of cloudy skies. This seems like a great device for folks who either just want to get shots of the night sky without too much travail, or who have very short nights (like we do in the southern New Zealand summer) but don't want to miss any imaging opportunities. While this won't replace my regular astro rigs, it certainly adds something unique to my quiver. Very happy with it so far!

This is a great start James! A very nice image from it.

I agree with your assessment. It's a great way to start in astrophotography. And it's a great tool to have when you don't have the time to set up your regular gear.
