No Drone Here...

I have this strange feeling like I already posted this, so apologies if that is the case...

Hiking back from Laguna Capri in Los Glaciares NP the trail opens up to this scene. Given the time of day I had to shoot into the sun, and cropped a little to get rid of some clutter and a little lens flare. The result could possibly be mistaken for a drone shot, although the wind was so strong that not only would using a drone have been impossible, it was hard to even stand up here (I ended up taking the image sitting down on the trail actually). It really captured for me the beauty and scale of the landscape in this part of the world, and I ended up liking it more than anything I had gotten from the lake that we had hiked to for sunrise (which was a dud that morning...)

Thanks for looking and for any comments. @JimFox - is there a quck and definitive way to see what posts you have previously originated in a particular forum?

Beautiful scene. I like the light and the atmospherics. Looks like a challenging DR and you handled it well.
Jameel,

Thanks! yes, when I was shooting it I was not sure it was going to work. I managed to get something that approximated what I was seeing after all though, so happy with the results.

Gorgeous scene and indeed it does look almost like the kind of view you would expect from a drone. Not sounding like a nice time to launch with wind strong enough to send your drone backwards at a high rate of speed.....

To check out your posts click on your name in over on the left and then click on Messages to see your previous posts. You might have posted this last Thursday or maybe just uploaded it at the same time as your Base of Operations thread.

Hey Mike, that's a coo shot for sure!

To add to Alan's method, I have a slightly different way I do it, and I use it to find my Photos I posted at the end of the year.

Like Alan said Click on your Name in the upper right of the Menu Bar.

Next a menu will Popup.

I then click on my Name in that popup menu.

Another window will popup, and you will see a menu option that says "Find".

Click on the "Find" and Select "All Threads".

This will then give a list of all of the Threads you created, and then you can browse through them to see if the same photo is there.

Of course, you could also Search using a keyword that would have been in a post with the same photo, and you could see if it had got posted.

ok great - thanks for the info. I know I DID upload it to my gallery without posting it immediately, which is not how I normally do it and which was one thing that was confusing me.
