Petrified Forest in Winter

IR seems to work best when the vegetation is alive and green, so I haven't shot much with it this winter time. I scrolled back and the last time I used the IR (unless I missed a folder) was in January in the Petrified Forest National Park.

I tried to find compositions where there was some vegetation even though it was dried and brown. I think I have a few from that visit that work, this is the first one.

This one is in 590nm with only a White Balance change, no false color.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

I find it interesting that there is as much vegetation that does reflect IR as this shows. That isn't a place known for verdant greens just about any time of year to begin with think less of mid winter.

Yeah, I found it weird as well. I don't recall seeing anything green.
