Plitvice Upper Lakes

OK, I'm done sharing one image at a time - here are a few from the upper lakes area of the park. Most of what I had researched focused on the lower lakes area, which is where my previous posts were from. I had expected more hiking (true) around the upper lakes but less impressive waterfalls (much less true). The boardwalk passed these waterfalls was crowded and I struggled to time shots between vibrations from people walking by. I was happy for this first image in particular that I came away with a sharp photo as my wife and I both loved the scene.

1) Galovački Buk Waterfall (I've seen a few different names for this one)

2) Veliki Prstavac - This is the most famous waterfall in the upper lakes area. But it was really crowded and I only managed to snap a quick couple of shots. Composition was hurried.

3) I also liked this scene looking down at a lake shore with several waterfalls pouring from one lake to the next. This gives a better idea of the scenery around the park.

Wow - the waterfalls in this place are absolutely jaw dropping. I love the views in all three of these but that first image belongs on a wall and not as a small print. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous scenery.

What a super cool area Kyle! I really like how the water looks to be pouring over a hill in #2 with that angle. I would pick #1 as my favorite too.

Your description reminds me a bit of Swinging Bridge in Yosemite where even a single step by someone vibrates the bridge, and it's very difficult to get off a few shots with the bridge still so the photos are sharp.
