Ponytail Falls

In the Columbia River Gorge, Ponytail Falls is just a short 0.4 mile hike from the Horsetail Falls Trailhead. It is one of a very few trails that go under and behind the falls. As always, being there at sunrise gives great light, and being alone there is a magical experience! This is made with my new 590nm Nikon Z5 conversion.

Thanks guys, I have little experience processing the 590, we'll see how quickly I can learn to get better color.

I like this one a lot Michael!

590nm gives you a lot of latitiude in where you want to go with it in processing. I like your choice here.

What lens are you using for it?

That's the best thing about mirror less bodies - any AF lens will work without calibration! I've started out with the 24-70mm f4s. It works well but has a small hot spot at f11 and smaller, at f8 it's aces! I am now trying out my old AI lenses using focus peaking and I'm missing focus a lot. I need more practice with focus peaking - I'm using blue since the image is so red with the 590.
