Punchbowl Falls - Columbia Gorge

With the Columbia Gorge burning any many beautiful places at least changed forever, I thought it worth sharing one of my favorites from the affected area. I took this shot of Punchbowl Falls during a visit to the area in May 2016.

Nice - I always like the lush green look. I have been looking through my own shots now wondering what is still up there.

No way of knowing right now what has or hasn't burned in that canyon but the fire is not contained at all yet and ash from the smoke plume is falling now where I live in Vancouver.

Hey Kyle,

That's a nice lush scene you have from there. Yeah, so many changes there over the last few years. You have the fire now, and then not long ago I think there was the landslide that wiped out the viewing area for Metlako Falls.
