Nice pics of the cranes. I love the synchronized beaks in the first image.

There are things I can do to move threads as a moderator but I can't merge the thread.

As to Winged Wednesday, it's okay to have a photo posted more then once.

Larry these are incredible shots of Sandhills. They are in huge numbers just now heading south through Saskatchewan but I can't find any places to get really close to them as they are very skittish and we don't want to interrupt there feeding and migration.

The Basque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in southeast New Mexico is a wintering area for the Sandhill Cranes. I was there in early December a few years age when these shots were made. At the time there were over 8500 sandhill cranes on the reserve and over 40000 light geese. I hope to be able to go down there again this winter!
