Seascapes from Bulgaria

Hard to get compelling images when you have 5 miles of sand broken up by a few imported rocks every couple of hundred yds to reduce longshore drift. Across the bay is a peninsula with 6 or 7 medieval churches, still to come. On this side is a string of hideous chocolate box hotels, think Las Vegas but mostly cheaply built and thankfully without the neon. This was the best that I could do. Ken

The light was nice so a straight shot

Some ICMs to disguise the almost total lack of subject.

A calm day with a little surf breaking on a sandbar 100yds offshore

More wind, bigger waves and a threatening sky

I don't really know how I have got this look, it is in colour and looks a lot like a wild day on the North Atlantic coast

The camera motion works well for this area. It certainly met your goal of making endless sand more interesting. I like #3 in particular as an abstract that feels more like a painting.

I tend to avoid the parts of the NW coastline that are seemingly endless miles of sand.

I do like your #1, though it sounds like tough shooting conditions from the aspect of visual presentation. But #1 looks pretty cool, you made good use of the rocks.

I like all of your ICM images. ICM is something I wish I would remember to try more often, but I often only think about it when I see someone elses ICM images, like these great ones from you. It's hard to pick favorites of these, though I do really like #4 a lot.

Glad to hear that they hadn't imported the neon signs from Las Vegas at least on those box hotels. :)
