Lots of fresh markets

I forget the name of this tree, but it looked interesting, and old.

Windmill used to grind sea salt. We toured a sea salt harvesting operation that was built in the 1600's and still is operatinal today.
Located on the far western coast of Sicily. Its said various cultures have been harvesting sea salt from this area since way before Christ.

A lonely country road in a vinard we stopped at. Did I say the wine was outstanding?

It you ever wondered where agave comes from, this thing was taller than me, over 6 foot tall and maybe 7-8 foot wide

An old theater built by the Greeks, remodeled by the Romans as a colosseum, then used by the Persians for building materials and a storage place.

Ed, what a fun trip! So many cool and unique sights.

The street markets are fun. That's a weird tree and you found a 6 foot tall yucca? That's crazy!!! Did you get an image of it with a person next to it for scale? I usually avoid people in my photos, but I think some scale would add a wow factor to it.

Neat shots of what looks like an outstanding trip. I love the old tree, the open countryside and the ruins. The agave looks like it is pretty happy growing there although it is native to Central America.
