Skyline Overlook Sunrise

We've all seen many images from this place and it's getting very popular. I hadn't been there is some years & was kind of shocked at how many vehicles were camped there. I arrived just after dark (unfortunately missed the last rays of sun on Factory Butte as I was driving in) & it was kind of hard to find a spot to park without being on top of somebody else. Fortunately, it's pretty much dead flat & just about everywhere is nice & level. Just before sunrise, a Tesla came driving up that had hundreds, if not a thousand LEDs all over it. Multicolored, probably spaced every 4" and flashing. Think they wanted everybody to pay attention to them? I saw them a few days later parked on Hwy 12 between Escalante & Boulder in broad daylight without the lights on. All those lights made it look like it had bad acne or something.

I like the views you came up with in this series. #2 is my favorite although the first image is quite nice as well.

Very nice and better yet that you didn't include the overly illuminated swasticar.

Awesome images Monika!

My favorite is #1, I really like the color and the way the magenta in the sky looks like a funnel.

Too bad about Skyline being so crowded. I think the only time I camped right on the overlook though was when we all met there some years ago. Usually I camp further down the rim, less people tend to go there.

And that Tesla????? That's so horrible and so self centered. Going to a place that's known for it's photography and then purposely having LED's all over the car blaring light all over? That's actually illegal in a lot of states, though I don't know if it's enforced.
