Somewhere in South Dakota

While driving back from South Dakota to Colorado 2 weeks ago, my head was on a swivel looking for old buildings and some nice IR locations. It was mainly cloudy, but for a while the sun was poking out a bit, that is until the storm really hit and I was driving in 60 mph winds. But before that, I had saw this and made a u-turn to go back so I could capture it.

I photographed it both in regular color and with my IR camera, but my hope was to just be able to use the IR images.

This is a 2 shot pano. There was a fence that prevented me from getting too far away from the house without it being in the image, so I shot a couple of Horizontal pano's to try and get it all in with the cool clouds.

Nikon D7100 converted to 590nm IR

All comments are welcome,

Jim

The house appears to be well ventilated for summer occupancy  A little paint and it will be as good as new....

The IR adds some nice contrast in the skies.

Thanks Alan! Mosquitoes might not be that much fun once it warms up. :)
