The Evening Primrose from Anza Borrego a week ago. Thanks to @Douglas Sherman for making me jealous and causing me to drive 20 hours from Colorado to get there and capture the wildflower blooms.

I am including a 100% crop to show the detail from the Nikon 24-200mm with the Nikon Z8. The 24-200mm is like the perfect lens, I was blown away with how sharp it is. The only thing it misses is the A/F switch on the lens itself, but I am willing to overlook that considering the versatility of not needing to switch lens as often.

A pretty bloom and great shots of it but the fuzzy bud it comes out of borders on ugly

Nice work Jim. I'd try a square crop on the original losing some from both top and bottom.

Thanks for the idea Jameel, I had thought about a crop but didn't. So let me try that.

Thanks Eric. It's pretty typical noise for a 100% crop I think. I could have run it through DXO PureRaw and removed the noise pretty completely. But I don't usually do 100% crops.
